Every year it’s the same at our store. We get plenty of A/Cs and fans in the beginning of April with meager sales through May. Then the first hot day in June and everything sells out in 2 days. For the next several weeks we get 3-4 calls an hour asking if we have any A/Cs.
Fans and AC when it’s hot. Generators when the storms come through. When I was still working, one couple bought a generator the moment autumn arrived. Evidently, the previous year they experienced 3 days without power and the “I’m sorry, we sold out our generators two days ago” story.
One thing I hate about the heatwave is how frustrating it is to serve customers who want to buy portable fans. Even something as simple as that became my bane at work
It’s supply and demand, not demand and supply.
oh lok, demand outstripped supply. funny how that works.
* look, darn it
