To be honest, I’m kind of in a funk about school beginning again too. No matter which way I drive to work, there’s a school speed zone in the way, and it’s either backed-up traffic or the temptation to speed that will get you a plus-sized ticket.
Of course, there’s a church just past one of the schools which happens to be the one I go to. I’m tempted to live in this same area until I’m in my 70s, then one day “speed”* through a school zone, head straight for the church even as the cop car appears with lights flashing, zip inside, shut the door behind me, and yell “Sanctuary! Sanctuary!”
I’m reminded of the Staples ad campaign for back-to-school where a parent danced around their kid to “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”
I wonder if that one’s going to be recycled in Canada in 2021.
lol That’s my favorite office supply commercial!
That’s my second favorite. The back-to-school with Alice Cooper is my favorite.
I’ve never heard of that one! I’ll have to look it up…found it on youtube. You’re right, that was great!
I love both of them, but my all time favorite is OfficeMax’s Rubberband Man back-to-school commercial.
That is a good one! I’m surprised I haven’t seen it before.
Notice that all the kids are clones of their parents, right down to their gender. Kind of creepy if you ask me.
Accurate.

*I.e., the regular 35 mph limit.
Notice how every one of those kids is hunched over like an old person. They do NOT want to go back to school!
And in some places in the USA they got at the beginning of August.
