Not quite the same, but I’ve had a few situations where the customer got into the back. Most memorable was this insane woman. She was looking for a certain Five Nights at Freddy’s plush that was exclusive to our store. Well, we were sold out, but we had the other characters. Now the thing is, toys like this are sold in an assortment, which means the Sku covers all of them. So when you look it up, it could say 5, but those are say 2 of the bear and 3 of the duck. Well this woman was going nuts because she needed it that day and she was convinced we had it. We had none in the back, but she demanded we check, so we did and none back there. She then accused us of hiding them for ourselves as the website said we had 6 and when she ordered them, she got the six other characters we had left. Store director told her that we would get some in a few days, well within the time frame for Christmas and that he would even hold one for her when they did arrive, but nope she needed them that day, no later. She then demanded we allow her in the back, and also to check all of our lockers. The store director told her no and asked her to leave. She refused saying she wasn’t leaving without the toys. Director threatened to call the cops and to have her trespassed. Eventually she did leave, but it doesn’t end there.
She was caught later that day trying to break into the lockers in the break room. She had come back in and waited until the break room was empty and actually broken the lock off of one of the lockers and was rummaging through one of the worker’s stuff, including her purse. Needless to say, she was arrested and banned for life. All this over a stupid plush, that sure enough we got in 2 days later. Director said she was obviously a scalper as she wanted all of them and they were selling for 3 times the amount on Amazon. Not sure why she couldn’t just wait the 2 days until they came in again.
Had this happen where I work, woman ended up arrested because she refused to believe any employees and did it repeatively
