There was a parody video on Facebook where a couple was “learning” about in-person shopping. They were amazed that they could touch the blanket before buying. Then they asked about “2-day shipping”. Lol
Add to that the fact that it’s easier to return something if it ends up being broken.
I bought a power supply from BestBuy and it worked for five seconds before completely shutting down. It would have taken at least a week to get a replacement through an online retailer, but I was able to walk straight in, get my replacement, and walk right back out again. Less than five minutes!
I agree but you also have to listen to Karen scream at the teenager behind the counter while hunting the entire store they re-arranged 3x since last month. Curbside pickup is the best of both worlds and I hope it never goes away.
Agreed. I usually shop for computer parts online, mainly because there aren’t any good brick and mortar shops that sell stuff like processors, motherboards, etc. 99% of the time there aren’t any problems, but those rare instances are a pain. I ordered a hard drive, and it arrived physically damaged. Pretty sure hard drives aren’t supposed to rattle. I was able to get a replacement without a problem, but I had to wait for them to receive the damaged one, and then send the new one. Worse yet, the return period crossed Thanksgiving weekend, so it took even longer than normal.
Yeesh, where is that guy? I have a beach in Death Valley he would be interested in. Seriously though, I only buy online if I have to. I want to pick out the item and have it the same day. No mix ups or damaged goods.
I actually prefer buying in-store, because that way, if they have the item I need/want in stock, I’ll get it to my house the same day.

There is something to be said for the convenience but this guy screwed it up.
