The biggest problem with management strategies like this is that often the management are actually capable of fulfilling every absurd rule to the letter then expect their employees to be capable of it as well which often isn’t the case. Not everyone is the same or excels at the same things but we get stuck with the work we’re told to do not the work we want to do. Sure, management may be able to face ten aisles in a few hours but the rest of us ten aisles is an entire uninterrupted eight hour day’s worth of work. There’s a reason you’re in management while the rest of us stay low on the totem pole for years at a time.
I had a manager that was always mad that I could not get everything done on Saturday nights. Then he had to do what I did when I was on vacation. Then he understood for about a month then was back to saying I should be able to get it all done.
