When I worked for American Greetings I remember one day setting out new cards and this woman started griping about how much the cards cost. “$3.75 for a card? We only spent $7.00 for the gift!” Of course demanding of me that I tell her how I dared to charge so much. I told her I only put the cards out, I didn’t price them. If she hadn’t been such a beeyotch I might have told her that right next door was a Dollar General where at that time you could get some pretty nice cards for only 50 cents. That’s where I bought my cards.
