    In my head, I think I would want to rescue that intact to use as some kind of decoration (the sign looks like it could be a blackboard), but then I’d have weird feelings that it comes to life and walks around in the dead of night.

    Yeah, that’s pretty much how we felt when our store closed. In fact, a customer got mad because an employee purposely broke a piggy bank that was already in unsellable condition. He told her her, and I quote: “Ma’am, I really don’t care. I’m going to be jobless in a month, so I have bigger things to worry about. The sooner we get rid of this shit, the sooner I can get a new job. I don’t give a f—” She walked off in a huff, saying she was calling corporate. I wish I could have been there when she found out that corporate basically felt the same way.
