I’d argue he IS Scrooge, in a different universe. The most important reason Scrooge hated Christmas was that he saw no way it made money for him. Stuart loves Christmas because it makes lots of money for the company. The love of profits above all else is the same. Christmas just plays a different role in our time than in Scooge’s.
It would be nice if Stuart loved Christmas for its true meaning instead of just profits for the store. I don’t mind celebrating Christmas year round since I think of it as the birth of our Lord. But Stuart doesn’t care about that. Just “Let’s get people out buying gifts and spending money which means I get to keep my job!” When he says “Let’s think about Christmas” it has a whole different meaning.

True, Scrooge looked at Christmas as robbing him of money with people wanting the day off, etc.
