    I mean, Cooper’s made lifelong friends at his store, even if Grumbel’s is bottom of the barrel when it comes to corporate offices. Other retail establishments that have superior central management are doing considerably better. Delman’s, for instance.

    Cooper did the right thing here. He took advantage of an opportunity and made new friends. That is as much as one can hope for from a retail job.
