I like Val’s expression. She doesn’t begrudge him a day on the couch. She knows how hard he’s been working
Like the Office Space protagonist, he did nothing and it was everything he imagined it to be.
I would call that a day well spent.
I like to imagine her smile is a “oh good, you listened to your body when you needed to. If you’d been here non-stop for 10 hours I would be worried about your health”
