Trust me, in a workplace environment, you don’t want ’em. Saw a box of desecrated donuts in the breakroom once where someone stabbed their finger through the middle of all the donuts to see what filling was in them.
That box sat there for two weeks as a reminder to the manager that some people are disgusting.
My church used to have a few boxes of donuts out next to the coffee machine during fellowship hour before church service. Little kids kept moving around the donuts while they decided which one they wanted or just poked them, often squashing part of them. Finally, the attendants starting picking out the donuts the kids touched and had their parents purchase them. It was only 50 cents a donut but still that was enough to motivate some discipline about touching things you’re not going to eat at long last.
I once bought some donuts for staff working a long shift. One of the other managers took half the donuts to give to their staff. Oh, I was SO happy about that.
I like cream and jelly filled, but even if it’s just a normal doughnut, I’ll take it! I don’t care if it’s not my first choice – it’s something I like to eat that I personally didn’t have to pay money for. Win-win!
some folk don’t know about the gift horse.
Seriously though, no jelly?

“Next time, no donut for you!”
Same concept as yesterday: If someone gives you something for free, don’t complain.
Too bad Marisa is gluten free. It’s hard to find gluten free things.
