    “Help” = instant assistance to this weirdo, not taking into account the reality of Marla having to get a cash drawer out of the safe in order to open the register.

    Also what does Marla’s speech bubble in the third panel mean? “You wouldn’t put up with you” sounds awkward, but it does mean that this lady wouldn’t put up with someone with her entitled attitude for twice Marla’s pay, right?

      That’s exactly what she means. I’m glad she said it out loud. But if I had ever spoken to a customer like that I’d have been fired pronto.
