I think you’ll find that American Capitalism is different from other places.
I’m not saying that other places are angels, but the rubbish that America gets away with (No universal healthcare, unliveable minimum wages, relying on customers to pay staff a decent age (tips), unachieveable targets that preclude bathroom breaks…. The rest of the world just looks on disbeliveing, and a little disgusted.
Not just that, but you’re also not likely to go bankrupt following a serious illness in those countries, unlike the USA. And you don’t have to worry about whether your capricious insurance will cover things or not.
For the land of the free and the home of the brave, I believe it’s a mix of nationalism and paranoia that greedheads have taken advantage of. Communism doesn’t really jell all that well with our free market mindset, plus it took root in Russia and Asia (via the likes of Stalin and “Brother #1” was no help) which gave it a whole other level of “other-ness” that puts people off. It’s been used as a socio-political boogeyman by the fat cats ever since to cripple any attempt to empower those who actual do the dirty work, whether it’s picking the fruit, building the gizmo, mining the resources, or putting in on display for the consumer. Fair’s fair, those said attempts don’t do much to wrap themselves in the flag also, Farm Aid aside.
CAPITALISM EVERYONE

Yeah, rationed healthcare and dying before you are approved for treatment are a small price to pay for a 60% tax rate.
Life expectancy in years (2020, from wikipedia):
US: 77.25
Belgium: 80.80
Germany: 80.94
Netherlands: 81.41
Canada: 81.75
France: 82.18
Ireland: 82.20
Italy: 82.34
Spain: 83.02
Even the UK with their abysmal NHS has a longer life expectancy than the US!
(And I wont talk about places like Uruguay, Panama or Lebanon)
Oh all those evil countries with universal healthcare, forcing there people to live through longer retirements!
Not just that, but you’re also not likely to go bankrupt following a serious illness in those countries, unlike the USA. And you don’t have to worry about whether your capricious insurance will cover things or not.
