To be fair if someone has already searched for something and can’t find it they’re going to beeline it straight for an employee. More than half the time when someone asks me for something I’m standing right next to it. It’s not any effort to just point them to it and move on with your life.
I once had a customer ask where an item was. As I was walking him to the location, he kept yelling louder and louder “It’s not there! It’s NOT there! ITS NOT THERE!!!”
I then pointed to the item and went back to what I was doing.

I gotta wonder how hard it would be to play D&D with a character with as low a passive perception as this lady.
“Right behind me.”
“Oh! Tee-hee! If it were a snake, it would’ve bit me!”

For goodness sake, use your eyes! You’re not wearing sunglasses and using a cane so we assume you can see!
