“Carriage”? I would’ve used “cart,” but then I never did it was efficient shopping with a horse-drawn conveyance.
New England slang.
On the east coast that’s what carts are called. In the midwest, i believe they are called buggies
Can confirm. Was absolutely horrified the first time I used that term. That and when I referred to coke as ‘pop’.
Not all of the Midwest at least not in Michigan we call them carts.
No one in the Midwest calls carts buggies.
Also from the Midwest. Have literally never heard anyone call a cart a “buggy.” Though I’ve never talked to anyone living in an Amish Paradise…
Yes, though very rare, there are courteous shoppers out there. Most either work or have worked in retail. I’ve done it myself several times.
When I hear carriage or buggy I think of a baby carriage or buggy. I’ve always called it a shopping cart.
I usually try to return things to where I found them.
I’ve started trying to do that thanks to reading this comic. Though there was one time I kept walking back and forth cause I couldn’t decide if I wanted the item or not. Made 5 trips across the store before I decided to keep it
That’s me too. I’m also the type to stop and put things back if I accidentally knock things over.
