I can only make the punch work with regular packing tape. the ones with that string-lined tape are hard. (and the string bites. ow.)
I used to get asked why, as a guy, I kept my fingernails long. The first time I opened a box with my thumbnails (actually cutting the tape), the questions stopped.
Keys work as well.
Don’t do that with a box with staples in it….
