I don’t like french fries. Not ALL french fries, but… they rarely get cooked to my liking. They’re almost always too soft.
Onion rings are okay, I guess, and a salad or coleslaw are also good options, but at Red Robin (a fast casual restaurant chain in North America), I will go for their potato chips: sturdy, freshly fried, and oh-so-crispy. No, I don’t work for them.
The only french fries I really like are the thin, crispy fries they’ll serve at indie restaurants. Shoelace fries, anyone? Also, I like poutine.
Can I tell you guys a secret?
[Looks both ways, then leans in to whisper]
