Yeah, there is also a variant of this type of customer. Not sure what you’d call it, but I’ve only seen them recently myself. They will ask you to open an item for them to make sure everything is good. Then demand a discount for it being opened. I’m not talking like a 10% discount either. I had one the other day that demanded a 50% discount off because “She didn’t want to give her daughter an opened product.” Well we had ones that were unopened. Plus, her daughter was 2 at most. Kids don’t care, especially babies. I’ve never seen a kid turn down a free toy because the box was opened. Needless to say, she wound up paying regular price, all the while grumbling about how she would never come back. I saw her today in the same department.
