While I can see a strip where that’s Stuart’s reaction to an animal attack within the store, that’s not the kind of punchline I’m going for. The panels here are all showing people progressively more bundled up as well as having lines that imply the escalating hazardous conditions outside. Having someone remark on predators on the loose outside works with that… and is more realistic than a John Carpenter’s THE THING reference.
I envision a fourth panel where someone comes in screaming that a pack of timber wolves chased him.
That only works well if said timber wolves got in with him, and someone ends up saying, “Hey, you can’t have pets in here! Service animals only!”
Preferably someone like the recently fired Josh, or the always oblivious Stuart.
