      Of course the limit is the max number of hours in a week (of which there are 168). It goes without saying.

      But that doesn’t mean that it’s still not horrible that there isn’t a law in the US that makes sure that employees can only work a max number of hours a week regardless of their job, position, or salary and if they do work past the given limit, they must be compensated for their extra hours (i.e. being paid overtime).

      If you give the corporations an inch, they’ll take a mile. You either got to spell everything out to them or they’re just going to do whatever they want; and even then, they’ll try to find ways to weasel out of bylaws and government guidelines.

    This has to be very hard on Marla as a mother who probably hardly ever sees her kid or her hubby. No weekends like other workers, just work work work.
