You are missing a preposition in the second panel. It should say “…puttin a shoe in the customers’s foot…”
You mean “on?”
I’ll be forever baffled by the fact that apparently, somewhere in time, in America in a shoe store the employees put the shoes on your feet, instead of letting you put them on by yourself…
