    That came out wrong. Marla has to remember how much Val hated Stuart forcing the assistant manager role upon her that one time, yeah? She’s not gonna like being a salaried manager no matter how you slice it.

    I remember one hourly supervisor who’d been a salaried restaurant manager before, and said NEVER AGAIN. He abruptly left, either due to a declined promotion or snapping at a customer and quitting. After seeing how much being a supervisor destroyed him and how the salaried managers all worked 50+ hours a week… yeah, that’s not for me. It’s not for Val, either.
