A cashier attempted to steal yet make her drawer match to the penny, but she was so incompetent we easily caught her. She would hold back small amounts of money from each cash transaction’s change (a dollar here, a quarter there, etc.) and then remove it before the end of her shift. Hilariously, it was so obvious partly because her drawer was *over* by a strange amount just as often as it was under.
Some shoppers, if they’re in a hurry or it’s a small amount, may tell the cashier to “keep the change”. If it matches up, it could be an indicator that the cashier is keeping the kept change for themselves (in corporate’s mind, that is).
True. Remember when Marla wanted to keep on a better employee than Courtney but Stuart insisted she had to go because she made more money than Courtney? It didn’t matter that she was far more competent, just that she made more money, that cost her her job.
How can he be ripping off the store if the drawer count matches up?
